Why can't she be your neighbor?

Ann CoyneCrystal King’s bright smile is a welcoming presence on the teller line at Federal Savings Bank in Portsmouth. “I love interacting with community members,” she says.

Crystal grew up in Dover and currently lives in Rochester where she has been a homeowner for six years. Unfortunately, high housing costs have prevented her from living closer to where she works. And it’s still not easy. “We stick to a tight budget,” Crystal says. We have to make sacrifices, such as fewer activities for the kids.”

Crystal suggests changes to the property tax structure to make housing more affordable for working families.

The Workforce Housing Coalition invites YOU to be part of the solution.
With the support of our members, we tackle the complex issues that contribute to our region’s limited housing options. Become a member now! Online or by mail.
