Why can't she be your neighbor?

Brenda KiberdBrenda Kiberd is a nurse at Portsmouth Hospital. “I love the personal interaction and helping patients heal,” she says.

Brenda lives in Rochester with her husband Chris, a Portsmouth police officer, and their five-month-old baby girl. As a new mom and native of Portsmouth NH, Brenda longs to move back to her hometown to be closer to her support system. Brenda fears the region will turn into a bedroom community for people with high-paying jobs in Boston. She wonders where the people who support the local economy will be able to live. For now, Brenda and Chris have their house on the market.

The Workforce Housing Coalition invites YOU to be part of the solution.
With the support of our members, we tackle the complex issues that contribute to our region’s limited housing options. Become a member now! Online or by mail.
